Role Purpose
Ensuring complete and accurate financial processing for the CarTrawler business, supporting statutory 
audit and annual accounts preparation and providing support to commercial functions as required. 
 
Reporting to: 
Financial Reporting Manager 
 

Main accountabilities and key tasks:

  • Overall responsibility for accounting for revenue and cost lines for specific areas of the CarTrawler Business
  • Overall responsibility to understand required day to day processes while constantly challenging, reviewing and improving process in place
  • Preparation, production and reconciliation of monthly reports and results & communication to Financial Reporting Manager
  • Production of quarterly reports and annual financial Statements for entities across group structure
  • Develop an understanding and assess appropriateness of provisions and judgemental areas of accounting
  • Ability to develop and update accounting reporting requirements and processes (across multiple entities and currencies) 
  • Liaise with various internal departments on new and existing commercial arrangements
  • Liaise with external stakeholders providing monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and resolve queries raised in a timely and efficient manner
  • Lead, review and prepare workings for interim and final audit and tax requirements
  • Proactively make suggestions to improve accounting practices and processes

Critical Interfaces:

  • Senior members of the finance team (Head of Finance, Director of Finance , CFO) 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant with interest in the travel and technology sectors
  • Strong commercial awareness with an interest in keeping updated on external factors that may affect Cartrawler
  • Excellent computer knowledge; strong excel skills are a distinct advantage and experience working with databases and data manipulation
  • Highly organised and capable of delivering on multiple tasks within tight timeframes
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks
  • A self-starter with an ability to work on their own initiative, but knowing when to seek assistance and work collaboratively
  • Possesses excellent analytical and numerical skills balanced with strong questioning approach
  • Excellent communication skills
