Role Purpose
Responsible for the user experience of our products. Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other product designers on a day-to-day basis. Solving design problems and being involved at every stage of the product lifecycle, from concept through to delivery.
 
Critical Interfaces:
In this role you'll work alongside product managers to understand objectives, outcomes, and requirements, you’ll collaborate as a team with designers to better understand our user needs through prototype testing, moderated research, surveys, and user interviews. Working closely with the engineering function to understand the technical feasibility of solutions as well as brainstorming sophisticated problems, the goal of this role is to be highly functional across the business to understand and address design problems
 

We are looking for individuals who have experience working on digital projects for the web, tablet, mobile, and Native applications. Experienced in handling senior partners, you are an effective communicator at all levels within the team (tech, design, research) as well as other business functions. Ideally, the ability to switch between analytical and creative thinking, multitask, prioritize, and lead time efficiently.

  • Can you think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail – enjoy crafting wireframes, user flows, style guides, design documentation (including specifications for engineering handover), mock-ups that effectively communicate your UI and UX concepts, and prototypes that allow users to test your concepts for validation and feedback?
  • Love post-its and sharing ideas! – Authoritatively walk through a process to align on an idea
  • What do you think about crafting for scale? - Where and when appropriate, supply to our design system adopting an atomic design methodology.
  • An excellent teammate that knows that ideas can come from anywhere - Can you collaborate optimally with different partner groups coordinating and leading design workshops to work through problems?
  • You’re a great communicator – You understand how to sell an idea by telling a story and this is reflected in how you present your work!

Knowledge and Experience

  • A previous minimum of 3 years of product design experience working in both B2C and B2B?
  • Multiple years’ experience conducting User Research (Quantitative and Qualitative)
  • Do you have experience facilitating your own workshops? You know how to work a room!
  • Experience running Design Sprint
  • Are you passionate about design and an advocate for Design Thinking?
  • Experience owning the design process from concept to delivery
  • Expert knowledge of industry-standard tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), InVision, and other prototyping tools
  • Experience crafting wireframes, personas, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, customer journey maps,
  • Meticulous ability to assemble all elements of requirements and scenarios and address edge cases
  • Understanding of agile delivery and software delivery lifecycle methodologies

Nice to have

  • Good understanding of front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 & JavaScript – You don’t need to be a coder but need to know what’s possible
  • Experience in A/B and multi-variate testing
  • Experience in the travel industry
